How do I post a pet transport listing?

After creating an account as a pet owner or breeder, go to your Dashboard and click 'New Listing'. Fill in the pickup and dropoff locations, your pet's details, and preferred dates. Verified transporters will be able to see and respond to your listing.

Do I need to pay to post a listing?

Accepted Answer

During Early Access, creating a listing, receiving quotes, messaging transporters, and booking are free. After Early Access, a $14.99 one-time Pay-to-Book fee will apply when you choose a transporter and proceed with booking.

How do I find a transporter?

You can browse our transporter directory and filter by location, verification status, and specialty. You can also post a listing and let verified transporters come to you — or do both!

Are my home address and exact location kept private?

Yes. Only your city and state are shown publicly on a listing. Your exact pickup and dropoff addresses are only revealed to a transporter once you've both agreed on a Booking Summary.

What is a Booking Summary?

A Booking Summary is a structured agreement between you and a transporter that outlines the price, pickup/delivery window, included services, cancellation policy, and other terms. Once both parties accept, a digital contract is generated for e-signature.

What happens if a transporter cancels last minute?

Accepted Answer

You can file a claim through our platform if a transporter cancels without adequate notice. Claims are reviewed by our team and may result in penalties to the transporter's account, including suspension.

How do I get verified?

Go to your Profile page and complete the Vetting & Insurance section. You'll need to upload your driver's license and pass a background check for Basic Verified status. Adding USDA/APHIS documentation and insurance earns you Fully Verified status.

What's the difference between Basic Verified and Fully Verified?

Basic Verified = approved driver's license + passed background check. Fully Verified = all four documents approved: driver's license, background check, USDA/APHIS documentation, and insurance certificate. Fully Verified transporters are ranked higher and can access listings that require full verification.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel at any time from the Manage Subscription page. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

What is a route post?

A route post lets you advertise an upcoming trip — for example, 'Dallas to Denver on March 20th with 2 spots available.' Pet owners who need transport along that route can reach out to you directly.

Does the platform take a commission on bookings?

Accepted Answer

No. CritterRoute does not take a percentage commission from transporter bookings. During Early Access, transporter subscriptions are free. After Early Access, transporters will be able to choose Basic at $29/month or Pro at $59/month. Pet owners pay the transporter directly — the platform never touches those funds.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your card details on our servers.

What if there's a dispute after a transport?

Accepted Answer

Either party can file a formal claim through the platform. Our team reviews the evidence submitted by both sides and resolves disputes fairly, with potential penalties for verified misconduct.
