Every transporter on CritterRoute is verified before they can contact a listing. Basic Verified requires identity verification and a background check; transporters can provide USDA/APHIS registration and insurance documentation to reach Fully Verified status, where applicable.

Transporters may provide proof of commercial pet transport insurance as part of Fully Verified status, where applicable.

Yes — posting a pet transport listing on CritterRoute is completely free. During Early Access, booking is free. After Early Access, a $14.99 flat fee applies when you book a transporter.
How do I know a transporter is trustworthy?
Every transporter on CritterRoute completes a background check through Checkr and has their driver’s license verified to reach Basic Verified status. Transporters can also provide USDA/APHIS registration and proof of insurance for Fully Verified status, where applicable.
What types of pets can be transported?
Dogs, cats, birds, small animals, reptiles, and more. Transporters specify what types of animals they handle, and you can filter by your pet’s needs.
What if something goes wrong during transport?
Every confirmed booking includes a digital contract with both parties’ details, and CritterRoute has a built-in claims process. Transporters may provide proof of insurance as part of Fully Verified status, where applicable, for added protection.
Can I contact a transporter directly?
You can communicate with transporters entirely through CritterRoute’s secure in-app messaging, keeping discussions, agreements, and documents in one place.
